An innovative and interactive direct mail piece earned top honors at the prestigious MFSA National Award for Excellence 2006

Immediate Release: PMi was honored with the 2006 Chairman’s Self-Promotion Award for their interactive and innovative “Las Vegas Open House” mailer. The results were announced at the MFSA Annual Conference on July 1st, 2006 in Boston, MA.

The judges of The Mailing & Fulfillment Service Association (MFSA) were most impressed with the use of variable data and images throughout the Las Vegas themed mailer, which was an invitation to PMi’s Annual Open House. PMI’s in-house design team engineered the over-the-top “Elvis in Vegas” style interactive piece. Some of the unique elements of the piece were: scratch-off lucky numbers, a randomly generated virtual poker hand (that was then matched to a live hand at the event), genderized and personalized copy, as well as a marquee billboard with the invitees name as part of the address panel.

The campaign was awarded 1st Place in the Best Single-Piece Mailing for Self-Promotion Category for Excellence. The prestigious award recognizes the tremendous growth in variable interactive direct mail in recent years, as well as increasing excellence in printing. The judges looked at the concept, copy, design, printing and overall effectiveness of direct mail promotional pieces submitted by companies from across the USA and Canada.
